There are several ways to install Visual Studio Code on the Mac, but I think the best way to do it is via brew cask. The official site offers a downloadable zip for MacOS, and this isn't difficult to do, but if you want auto-updates, I highly recommend using brew cask. I've recently started using MacOS for work, so I am documenting useful tidbits for other developers who might be starting out.

Simple type out the following command in the terminal.
